One of the exciting Belgian companies to join the TiE missions this month, Andaman7 has proven to be a great success in the Silicon Valley! The release of this first version, currently only available for iPad, was officially announced at Silicon Valley NewTech global event on Tuesday. CEO Vincent Keunen demoed the app which is now available to all for free on the App Store.
Andaman7 was created to drastically improve communication between doctors and patients and give them an efficient way to collaborate.
A few years back, Andaman7’s founder, Vincent Keunen, was running a software development company while enjoying a healthy life with his family. But then in 2007 he was diagnosed with leukemia, his ten year old son got bone cancer, and everything changed: priorities, dreams, objectives.
Fortunately, both father and son are now in good health thanks to breakthrough modern medicine. Vincent’s ultimate goal for Andaman7 is to help the health industry become more effective, especially when communication between doctors and patients is at hand
To do so, the app combines: for doctors, an electronic health record (EHR) and for patients, a personal health record (PHR). A secure platform connects them and synchronizes the records on all authorized devices. Andaman7 provides Synchronized Health Records (SHR) to share within your circle of trust. Users decide if they share data, which data they share and with whom they share it.
Andaman7’s bold ambition is to globally help healthcare professionals and patients communicate, share, and collaborate. Their team would love to have your feedback on the first version of the app. Download for free and test it out!
